Performance Advantage began as a result of the experiences of the physical therapists, athletic trainers, and exercise specialists at Center for Physical Therapy and Exercise (CPTE). The professional staff at CPTE has worked with athletes of all ages and abilities. From pee wees to professionals. From sports conditioning to injury care. Their experiences along with feedback from physicians and parents, made it clear that there was a need for a comprehensive sports conditioning program in southern New Hampshire. Fred Daniels, MS, HFD is co-owner and fitness director for CPTE and the Director of Performance Advantage. Fred brings a wealth of conditioning experience to the program. Fred received his Masters in Exercise Science while working as a conditioning coach with the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey Nets. Fred's experience has taken him to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado working with Olympic weight lifters, Nordic skiers, and rowers. Fred visited the German Sports Science Institute and worked with their national soccer, team handball, and hockey players. In addition, Fred worked for Sports Training Institute in New York and trained tennis, baseball, and cycling athletes. Since coming to New Hampshire, Fred has shared his knowledge with the Nashua Pride and many area athletes.
Fred took his knowledge of conditioning over the past 20 years and along with his staff created the Performance Advantage conditioning program. Fred is supported by physical therapists, led by John Peterson who has worked with high school, college and professional athletes, athletic trainers, certified conditioning specialists, and coaches. Together, Performance Advantage brings athletes over 60 years of experience working with athletes. The Performance Advantage program is designed to help athletes improve their athletic skills, prepare them for the physical demands of the upcoming season, and to reduce the risk of injury through this preparation and conditioning. The Performance Advantage conditioning programs are a quality service of CPTE. CPTE has provided quality rehabilitation and exercise services in southern New Hampshire for over 16 years. CPTE provides physical therapy, pool therapy, sports rehabilitation and athletic training, industrial rehabilitation, Medicare services, and fitness services at locations in Nashua, Manchester, Merrimack, Hudson, and at Rising Stars in Bedford.
